Do you have a scan tool to read the engine light code?
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I took the car to AutoZone and they hooked it up and said mass air control censor so I replaced it and it still isn't better
Expert:  Gunvir Singh replied 3 months ago.

Do you have the code number they gave you?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
PO171 FUEL SYSTEM TOO LEAN
Expert:  Gunvir Singh replied 3 months ago.

Ok, that code is not for the mass air flow senso, its for system running lean.. Mass air flow is a possibility but there is more chance of a low fuel pressure or vacuum leak.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
can i fix it?
Expert:  Gunvir Singh replied 3 months ago.

Yes. need to start by checking the fuel pressure.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
is it true that the fuel filter on the 02 corolla never needs to be changed?
Expert:  Gunvir Singh replied 3 months ago.

The fuel filter is built inside the fuel pump assembly and is not servicable seperate.

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
the Corolla is cranking everytime now but sometimes it does again and it is running real rough. I've replaced the mass airflow sensor and I just don't know where to go from here. my guy is telling me it's in the fuel line since this all started after I parked on an incline one day about 2 monthes ago. please help!
Expert:  david craig replied 2 months ago.

Hi Im David. Have the fuel pressure tested. There is no other option here. It has to be between 44-50 psi
