idles fine until you step on the brake pedal. i replaced the brake booster still doing it
JA: How many miles are on the car? What size is the engine?
Customer: 160,000 3.0 v6
JA: What is the model/year of your Toyota?
Customer: 1990 toyota truck
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes and i was told it was the brake booster so i replaced it idles fine untill you step on the brake pedal then the idle goes up and down
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hello, thanks for posting ,

Did you check the hose from the intake vacuum pipe to where it connects to the booster for cracks or breaks?

What about other hoses on the intake side where they all connect or the pcv hose under the plenum chamber on the passenger side, if any other vacuum hoses have a leak it could cause this as well as the brake booster uses a lot of vacuum when the brakes are applied.
