My 2006 Scion xB dash indicator lights flash on sometimes

My 2006 Scion xB dash indicator lights flash on sometimes and during this I seem to lose engine power, and the fuel gauge zeroes out, after which I regain normal operation and the lights go off Started today.
JA: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs?
Customer: I haven't. I will check momentarily.
JA: What is the make/model of your car?
Customer: 2006 Scion xB
JA: Are you fixing your xB yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Nothing yet.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hey how are you

1- Can we check for 12 volts on battery

2- Check the charging system for 14 volts

3- Check battery cables for loose or corroded all the was down to the starter

4- all ground cables you can see from engine block to frame needs checking

5- Off course check all fuses in both fuse boxes ,inside and outside

6- Go to advance or auto zone and have it scanned for free and post the fault codes back here for me , if you found any
