Hello and welcome

When the alternator wire shorts to ground it will blow some fuses, you'll need to check the fuses in the box under the hood near the battery, there is a high amperage fuse of around 100 Amps, it supplies power to most of the car's electrical system, check this fuse first, also check the 30 and 40 amp AM1 and AM2 fuses. All fuse locations are marked in a diagram in the fuse cover.
