The low beams stop working but high beams do 1999 avalon
JA: Have you checked the bulbs and fuses?
Customer: Yes both have been changed
JA: Are you fixing your Avalon yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I've only tried fuse and bulb
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Yes when i close driver door censor comes on as if the door is open. I can't lock the door while driving . if I try to lock it automatically unlock because it thinks the door is open

Hello and welcome to just answer. Your input is very important to me so I can get a good picture of what's happening so I can help you better. What you need to do is locate the low beem relay , it should be under the hood on driver's side in the blk fuse relay block and should be marked . Do you have a test light?

thanx for that info. when you locate the low beam relay remove it and test the terminals ,one should have constant 12v one should come on with switch in low beam mode then jump with a jumper wire from the one that is constant 12v to the opposite side and see if the lights come on if they do replace that relay. or if you not comfortable doing that and a faster way is to juist swap the high beam relay with the low beam relay and try that.
