JA: Have you changed a battery before?
Customer: Yes, about 4 years ago, terminal connectors a month ago.
JA: Are you fixing your Camry yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: An AutoZone employee and myself.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hello. Welcome to Just Answer. Please allow me to assist you. If you ahem the factory Toyota theft system, I believe I can assist you. DO you know if it the factory system or not?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
not sure. The little key symbol in dash don't blink
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The car won't start
Expert:  Toyota Service replied 1 year ago.

Ok. Does the car start properly?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
IT WON' T EVEN TURN OVER. IT'S LIKE A BREAK IN THE CIRCUIT. OPEN THE DOOR AND THE ALARM GOES OFF!
Expert:  Toyota Service replied 1 year ago.

Ok. Let's do this:

Open the door

Get into the car

Put the key in the ignition

Turn the key to the On position (where the instrument panel warning lights come on)

one second later,

Turn the key back one notch where the warning lights go off

one second later,

Repeat the key on-off sequence with 1 second pauses 4 more times

Then try to start.

If the alarm is the factory system, this is the defeat for it
