I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla and I recently changed my spark

Customer Question

I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla and I recently changed my spark plugs and cleaned my throttle valve. After I put everything back together the car started to crank, but not turn on. Now the car won't even crank. My back brakes turn on when I pressed on the brakes.
JA: How many miles are on the car? When did you last change the plugs?
Customer: The car has 170,000. I changed the spark plugs yesterday, but before then it was probably four or five years ago.
JA: Are you fixing your Corolla yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yeah I am trying to fix it myself. I tried cleaning the battery terminals. Also, my gear is locked when I put my foot on the brakes.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No, that's it thank you

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
My car is distributorless
Expert:  david craig replied 11 months ago.

ok, make sure the wires are hooked up to the plugs correctly.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Do the spark plug coils have to be placed in the same order in which I took them out? All four spark plug coils look the same and are all the same size. All four wiring connections are placed correctly.

no they dont. i doesnt make a difference. did yopu make sure the plugs were tightened enough when installing them? di you make sure the electrical connector to each coil snapped in.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
the spark plugs were tightened, and the electrical connector coils did snapped in. Do the inside of the coils have to be cleaned?
Expert:  david craig replied 11 months ago.

the insides should always be cleaned with throttle body cleaner. it never hurts to try that.
