I have a 1999 Toyota Tacoma 3400 4x4 straight drive about a year ago it started acting up,it would start skipping and then dying out at 3000 rpms I had a mechanic check or replace the sensors tune ie up, cost a great deal of did not stopped in fact it has gotten worse it does it a 2400 now I need it fixed badly.

At any time during this process has the check engine light ever come on or flashed? Specifically which sensors were replaced along with the fuel pump and cleaning the fuel injectors? Have there ever been any codes set in the system prior to the work being done? How many miles are on the vehicle?
