Tire pressure light is blinking. I have checked the pressure

Customer Question

tire pressure light is blinking. I have checked the pressure and all four tires are fine.
JA: Have you checked your tire pressure? Do you have a tire gauge?
Customer: yes
JA: What is the model/year of your Toyota?
Customer: 2005
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Just getting started. I have only checked to make sure that the pressure is right. Not sure why the light is blinking or what to do next.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Nothing else.

Hello my name is***** am an ASE Master Technician and I am glad to help you out with your question.

Expert:  Dan replied 1 year ago.

The light is blinking because you have a code stored in the tpms module. You need a scan tool to diagnose, but the most common cause is a bad tire sensor. They have batteries in them and these batteries will get low and this will cause the light to flash. You need scan tool to figure out which sensor is causing the problem and replace it.
