Having problems with fuel pump first, been changed at least

Customer Question

Having problems with fuel pump first, been changed at least 7 times. Plug on top of tank maybe fused together. Changed plug still won't crank.
JA: Have you checked the fuel supply? And are all the spark plugs working?
Customer: Drove to work, went to leave turns over, no start. Before when it happened ,change fuel pump. Crank up. One time, it set for 4 hours. Went out and cranked right up.
JA: What is the model/year of your Toyota?
Customer: 1997 4-runner. V-6
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Changed fuel pump. Changed plug for wires outside tank, under rear seat. They were naked. Maybe meted together?
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: No Mamm
