Customer Question

2006 Toyota Avalon maintenance light on car will not start, not even a click?

The maintenance light will have nothing to do with this not starting that just means your oil change is due. Do you have a voltmeter to check for voltage at the starter?

There are two connections going to the starter one is a large main battery post and the other is a small electrical connector release the lock tab on the electrical connector have someone turn the key to the start position or if this is a smart start have them hold their foot on the brake pedal and hit the start button does the 12 test light or voltmeter show 12 V to the small wire going to the starter?
