I am told that the 2012 Camry is pre-wired for a rear view camera, a feature that would really help me. How do I go about having a camera installed?

This will depend on how the Dealer ordered the Options on the Vehicle.
IF you do not have the Monitor / Camera Option, then you will need a seperate Monitor or Unit to have access to the Camera

IF the vehicle was ordered with Camera Delete, then there may be a Harness at the Rear Trunk Lid Molding that encases the Camera
IF not, then you will need to run your own harness.
IF you have never installed Electronics, you may want to have a Local Car Electronics Shop Sel & Install the Camera for you
There are many kits On-Line, E-Bay etc. that can be purchased also
