till light fuse keeps blowing out.
JA: When it comes to this particular vehicle, have flat tires been a problem in the past?
Customer: fuse says it is for a panel lights as well but they are working.
JA: What is the model/year of your Toyota?
Customer: I went in the bach and bulled out bulbs, sill blows fuse
JA: What year is your Toyota?
Customer: 2003 Toyota matrix
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I pulled the rear molding piece of and disconnected the rear tail light wiring harness to eliminate any socket issues and tried again and the fuse still blows.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: I noticed that the head lights do not turn off. When the car is running, even when I turn the switch on the headlight stalk to off, the headlights remain on. Day or night.

Hello, the headlights staying on is due to a fualty headlight switch and Toyota released a bulletin about this. The switchi s also most likely shorting out blowing the tail lamp fuse as well. I'll post the TSB below.

Sorry I had to rest my computer, here's the bulletin.

i pulled off my steering column cover and dicounected and removed the light stalk switch completely. When I started car, the head lights came on and stayed on without switch. I put in new tail light fuse and connected switch back up in off position. Fuse did not blow. I turned stalk switch to on for tail lights, fuse blew immediately. Head lights stay on with out switch/ switch turned off, but get brighter when I turn on head light switch

Thanks, ***** ***** like the daytiem running light or headlight relay is sticking. I'm going to post some wiring diagrams and how to test those two relays below, It will be just a minute as I have to reboot my pc again, I apologise. It'll be just a minute.
