JA: Have you checked the fob's battery?
Customer: yes, its been replaced and y secondary one is also not working
JA: What is the model/year of your Toyota?
Customer: 2001 solara sle v6
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: took it to a shop who has a great electrical mechanic...been having issues with alternator and battery...have a new battery now...he couldn't find any issues
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Just issues last few years with multiple alternators and dies in traffic last week...said battery was completely drained

I just had an alternator replaced in June, battery was low and they recharged it. Now have a new battery, too.
Only had key fob die one other time, started working after alternator was replaced. Alternator was checked and was told it was good.
Had car in last weekend, electrical mechanic went over it and couldn't find anything but a stuck glove box switch. On way home noticed clock not working. Then Monday key fob not working nor alarm. CD player hasn't been working for a few months.
