JA: Has the vehicle turned into a gas hog? And how does it start -- same as usual?
Customer: runs same as usual
JA: What is the model/year of your Toyota?
Customer: 2001 toyota 4runner
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: looking to do it my self. Only thing i looked up on line. got 3 answers what it could be. purge valve to canister vent solenoid at the charcoal canister

Hello, my name is***** you for the question. Most of the time this is caused by the vent valve being bad. It is a common failure. It can also be a restriction in the fill tube but that does not happen too often. The vent tubes should also be checked for restrictions which will require that the fuel tank be dropped.
