need to know how to change spark plugs and wires on a 04 tundra v6
JA: What size is your engine? Have you checked the wires?
Customer: yes im changing wires and plugs
JA: What is the model/year of your Toyota?
Customer: 2004 toyota tundera v6
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes and nothing yet. i build high rises for a living and have rebuilt a 77 scout enigine but that is basic
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: just have never done anything with these types of plugs with boots

This should have the 5VZ series engine which has three coils on the passenger side cylinder head and one wire for each cylinder on the opposite side. Use a 10mm socket or wrench to remove the bolts holding the coils on, then pull each out, pull out the opposite side spark plug connectors, they are of different lengths so it's almost impossible to get them mixed up remove the coils leaving the wires on for reference. You ill need a 3/8" ratchet, a 6 inch extension and a 5/8" spark plug socket to get down far enough to remove the spark plugs,

Thanks for your help. Very basic and lucky for me I had a adjusting ratchet but yes I got it done. Could have told me torque specs but I got that on line for free. All in all information given was good. So thanks.
