Customer Question

I need to drain coolant from the engine block of my 2005 Lexus gx470. I am replacing the radiator and hoses and poured over a gallon of distilled water in the upper hoae
JA: Has the car been overheating? Have you noticed any leaks?
Customer: ...hose connection and was hoping it would flush out the lower hose, but nothing came out.
JA: What is the model of your '05 Toyota?
Customer: It's a Lexus gx470, but same as a 4Runner with 4.7 V8 engine.
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: The radiator was leaking bad, so I'm replacing it.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: No. I just would like to see if I can drain the rest of the coolant from the engine without turning the engine on.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Toyota Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.
