I drive a 1997 Toyota Camry LE, 4-CYL. I am having trouble

Customer Question

I drive a 1997 Toyota Camry LE, 4-CYL. I am having trouble with my A/C. The problem is that it blows colder on driver side than passenger side. Driver side vent reads around 43 degrees at coldest. When I move to the next center vent, it reads about 52 degrees, and when I move to far passenger vent near windows, the readings are around 60 degrees. Any thoughts of what this could be? Thanks for any help in advance

JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes, I've only hooked up a/c gauges
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?

Hello I will help you with your question,

Usually this is an indication the system is low on refrigerant. I would recover the refrigerant and pull a vacuum on the system so you can see if it hold. If it leaks down find and repair the leak then refill the system with clean refrigerant to the specification by weight then recheck the temps.

Let me know how I can help you with this

Thank ylou''
