I cannot open the trunk on my 2015 Toyota ghlander hybrid.

Customer Question

I cannot open the trunk on my 2015 Toyota Highlander hybrid.
JA: Has the battery died recently?
Customer: Not in the last day. I used the car yesterday afternoon and I put something in the trunk. Half an hour later, after driving, the trunk would not open. I tried with the button on the remote, by pressing the release button on the back door and by pressing release button inside car. Tried turning car on and off. Tried locking and unlocking doors.
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Just sent you the response
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: There'd is a net across the opening to secure articles in the trunk. I had unhitched the netting so that it lay across the door opening. Could this be interfering
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Toyota Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello. My name is ***** ***** I will be helping you today.

It could be possible the net is caught in the latch. Does the door appear to be all the way shut?

Can you push in on the door while trying ot open it and see if that helps?
