What do I do?
Expert:  john replied 1 year ago.

the best way is to drop the fuel tank and drain it and clean it with fuel and reinstall

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Doesnt the tank have a plug?
Expert:  john replied 1 year ago.

some do I'm not 100percent sure on your model... if it did there would be a bolt in the tank on the bottom for a drain

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Well it's a 2006 Toyota hilux
4 litre.
Trying to find a way to drain it so I don't have to drop the fuel tank.
Surely there is an easier way
Expert:  john replied 1 year ago.

that's the best way because the tank needs to be cleaned

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Right ok.
Well the car is on the side of the road broken down, and need to do it myself because I can't afford to get it done professionally.
Hoping to figure out an easier option.

can you unbolt the filler neck and siphon from there

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I've tried and broke the socket set that I used to undo it.
Expert:  john replied 1 year ago.

can you get another socket?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
off to buy another socket and try again.
Have sprayed WD40 on it too.
Let's hope this works and can empty this way.
