Customer Question

I used wrong cable to jumpstart my highlander 2004. Now it doesn't accelerate. What is the fix?
JA: How old is the transmission? Have you checked the fuel filters?
Customer: The transmission had no issues
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No, just a mechanic told me the control part needs to be replaced and that costs 900. I wonder if that is correct
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: The car did not have any problems so far
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Toyota Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello, thanks for posting

Locate the fuse box under the hood and open the cover, be sure the ignition is off, the fuses are marked inside the cover, locate the fuse marked "ETCS" put a new fuse in it's place and let me know if that fixed it.
