I did not ground properly. I ended up getting new battery, but now everything lights up but when I push the starter button--it will not start. There is a noise-like an electrical motor humming, but will not turn over. What do I need to done sides pray?

sorry for the delay............
Greetings...... “Hi, I’m Don (aka MOLurch) and I look forward to helping you!”
Since the 1 st Battery was dead & then you connected the Charger wrong, the chances of "deleting memory" in the Vehicle Computer is very good........
You need the use of Dealer Scan Tool to "Reprogram" the Ignition Module & Anti Theft Module, plus test the Computer for any other issues
This will require a Tow to the Dealer
