Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

You most likely pulled the rod off that goes from the handle to the latch. That should only affect being able to open the door from the outsie, unless the latch was damaged or something foreign fell into the latch and is blocking movement, such as the clip that holds the rod at either end.

Will it not open from the inside now either?

both inside and out are unable to be open
The rod that was connected to the handle was pulled off

The door panel is going to need to come off then to be able to access the latch and linkage to see if you're able to get it open. There is either something foreign that has fallen into the latch and is preventing internal movement, or the latch has failed. If the inside handle now moves with no resistance though then the rod for the inside handle may also be off.

Finally got the door to open but this is the broken rod

With that one removed are you able to operate the door from the inside handle now?

That's the rod i pulled out in the first attempt of replacing my door handle
But no it cannot operate from the inside
