My son connected the jumper cables backwards on my 2011

Customer Question

My son connected the jumper cables backwards on my 2011 Camry this morning after having left lights on all night, and it smoked when they tried to jump it. Now the car starts, but wont accelerate.. Fuse??

Hello, thanks for posting

Open the fuse box under the hood and put a new fuse in marked ETCS, this fuse is most likely blown which causes the electronic controlled system to stop working and go to a limp mode.
