Have Toyota Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello. Welcome to Just Answer. Please allow me to assist you. IS the cart available at the moment for a quick visual inspection? Thanks
Please go to the car and raise the hood. Locate the fuse panel in the engine compartment, and looking at the fuse panel lid, locate and remove the fuse labeled ETCS. See if it is blown.
The unit in the pictures is not a Toyota part. Toyotas do not use that type of fuse. This may be some kind of alarm system. I cannot tell you what it is as I have never seen thsi before. If the car is not accelerating, the electronic throttle motor is not moving in conjunction with gas pedal application. The throttle motor is powered by the ETCS fuse. If you have a test light, see if you have power in that fuse.
