I am sorry that you have not been helped yet. I just came online and saw your question

I take it that it wont open from the inside or outside, correct?

Normal resistance when using either inside or outside latch, or less resistance or more like it is binding?

I would first try to use a jimmy tool to slip between door glass and door panel and open the door. If you cant, then the door panel will need to come off with door closed which most times will damage the pane, in order to open the door and see where the issue is - disconnected actuating rods or broken actuator
