Possible rolled gasket during install? Missing moon caps in front or back of cylinder head?

Was this installed by you or a shop?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.
no a service center installed the new gaskets. im certain that they are no longer leaking you can see they clean and not leaking the oil is clearly running off somewhere lower and the front of the engine not a drip .......leaking alot poring out

Is this the drivers side? Did they happen to do an oil change to?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.
they did not change the oil.. leak not the drivers side, seem to be the front of block or passengers side i only looked at it briefy ....seems to be running off a 3/8's rubber hose in the area mentioned there are two hoses there together
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
someone on the net thought there is a oil sending unit in that area that can leak a lot if the seal breaks

Was the valve cover just replaced as in today/yesterday and you think its something that they did, or was it replaced like a week or so ago and now its leaking.

Expert:  scionking replied 2 years ago.

These valve covers can easily roll when installing, event just a little section of it, you wouldn't be able to tell until you remove the valve cover and see the rolled or event pinched gasket.

Customer: replied 2 years ago.
the valve cover gaskets were replaced today.they did a great job, the only reason i mention them is so you would know that the leak im asking about is not related to valve cover gaskets, remember i said they were clean and dry the new leak is in front and down low on or near a hose close to the i need to call to explain more clearly what s the #

I understand what your saying I just find it odd that the day off a repair, you start leaking oil ? It wasn't leaking like this before it was worked on but now it is?

Expert:  scionking replied 2 years ago.

See attached picture, if it rolled where circled in red, the leak would travel down the back side of the timing cover and com out on the lower passenger side of the block.

Expert:  scionking replied 2 years ago.

See attached, same two spots

Customer: replied 2 years ago. been leaking very small amounts of oil for 6 month to a year i could see where the dirt and oil was begining to build up around and below the valve covers for a year or more. so i ordered gaskets from toyota, 2 months ago, was going to replace them myself but...could not find the time to do job,... then a week ago i noticed the leak was a lot,lot worse let a local shop replace gaskets got truck back today covers now clean and dry. i went car wash to wash underside of truck there is where i noticed the large oil leak pouring out from the front lower part of engine steady dripping stream in front off small hose
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
when i said leak was a lot lot worse..... a week later.i mean oil on the driveway , not oil around the valve covers

Can you circle leak point in this picture?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.
sorry dont know how to make circle on computer?? but YES that is the area the oil was running down at,.. seem it was off those two hoses clipped together pictured at top of picture. close to belt and pulleys

Maybe this is a power steering leak then? How is the fluid level in the power steering resivior?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.
maybe .... looked like oil not fluid though....i can't check right at work 7:00 at night till 7:00 in the morning, truck steers fine !!! are you sure there is no place for oil to leak from in that area
Expert:  scionking replied 2 years ago.

It was dripping off those two hoses? I don't think it would be anything from engine, I would suspect power steering fluid, or event transmission fluid if the leak was that far forward.

Customer: replied 2 years ago.
i won't get off work untill thurs.morn. @ 7:00 am ,...go to bed and look @ the truck ...thurs day evening i'll let you know what i find
