Customer Question

I have a 1999 Toyota Tacoma with 200,000 mile and it is a 5 speed transmission that will not go in reverse. I can get it in reverse but then there is a grinding noise and when I do that it is hard to get back into neutral. Would you know what is going on and how do I fix it?

Hello, thanks for posting

If it goes into first gear without grinding it could possibly be a hydraulic system problem, have you checked the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder?
