Ok 2003 toyota ehco 1.5 liter 5 speed 12 volts at batt engine light on and oil light on but no ignition power until i plug my scanner in then car powers up ignition starts and runs fine obd11 plug gets hot and when unplugged car shuts down and no ignition power again scanner puls up p0335 crank position sensor code ?? any ideas??

Hello, thanks for postingI think what's happening is that the scanner/code reader is completing an open circuit possibly in the wiring between the Crank sensor and the ECM, have you measured the resistance of the sensor itself? If it shows about(###) ###-####ohms the sensor is not the problem and it's a wiring issue.
