Hello I will help you with your question,
I am sorry, your question was sent to a tech that is not online so getting you an answer was delayed.
The sidewall height of the tire determines how "soft" it is.
If you can purchase a tire with a lager middle number of the 225/65/16 type of tire size number that still fits in the wheel wells without rubbing and run it as as low of a pressure as you can (no less than 27 psi) it will be the best ride for this vehicle.
With a vehicle like yours you want to be sure none of the shocks or struts are frozen. Bouncing each corner of the vehicle with your body weight will let you feel if it moves as it should and stops bouncing after 1 - 1.5 times.
If you have all that some of the Goodyear tires seem to run very soft.
