1985 Toyota truck. Oil gauge goes up when you ground the wire.....when wire is on post for oil sensor it drops to nothing. Brand new oil pressure sensor put in still does it

You need to put a mechanical gauge in the port and see if you actually have oil pressure. Also, did you put teflon tape on the new sensor when you installed it?
