Corolla: The circuitry in my corolla 2003 has been rewired

Customer Question

The circuitry in my corolla 2003 has been rewired meaning all the wires were spliced on the left hand side, right near the junction connector, and put back together with crimps... I am having problems with just a couple parts of the circuit. Something that may be the problem: 3 16avg red wires of some gauge I spliced together simply because they were identical (would it matter in what order they are spliced?) And also 2 black-striped wires I also spliced together because they are identical... My issues: dash light went up and shut off immediately as if its disconnected, abs light is on, and it won't switch out of park without pressing the override button as if it is not sensing that I'm pressing on the break. I have the circuit manual and I'm familiar with my electrical, I just really need some help to make the process go a bit smoother with the amount of time I have. Thank you
