Which engine do you have in this vehicle the 3.3 L or the 3.5 L?

On this particular engine the oil filter is a paper cartridge type filter. You need a filter Wrench that goes over the end of the filter housing located on the right front corner of the engine compartment area from underneath the vehicle. Hopefully the last person that installed the filter/housing did not over tighten it or it can be a bear to get off. The new filter should come with a new O-ring. You do not have to remove the little Alan Screw in the end of the housing that is strictly to drain the filter and if you have a large drain pan you can just remove the entire housing and remove the filter and O-ring.
