2007 tundra: 4wd..vsc light, check engine light, 4 lo light, all..mile

Resolved Question:

2007 tundra 5.7 4wd.. traction control light, vsc light, check engine light, 4 lo light, all on with some lights flashing, happened tonight after driving about 1 mile after sitting at work all day. has not been put in 4 lo for a year. in and out of 4 hi the last few weeks. last time it whas put in 4 lo it hit a neutral position and i had to pull it a few feet to get it to engage, also seemed to kick traction control on to soon in my opinion, this happened last winter and continues this winter. i took it into a toyota dealer last year and they could not duplicate and said everything normal. i have been afraid to try 4 lo since.since tonight problem i have shut off, backed up, tried all positions on 4wd selector switch, etc nothing changes it. it also wont go over 50-55 but acts like maybe its in low but if you barely touch pedal it will creep up in speed but if you get on gas it acts like its in low range, or traction control kicks in also, hard to tell but very strange, i dont think its in low

Hello and thank you for using just answer! This isn't a 4wd issue, the truck is in failsafe mode. The check engine light is disabling the 4wd and vsc sytems. You have a misfire taking place or the air injection system is acting up as we commonly see. This needs to go to a toyota dealer for a code check. Most commonly this is moisture in the air injection pumps that causes this issue and is covered by warranty for 60,000 miles.
