  1. Remove front wheel.

Torque to 110 Nm (83 ft. lbs.)

  1. Remove shock absorber.
  2. Disconnect drive shaft.

w/o Free wheel hub:

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the grease cap.
  2. Remove the cotter pin and lock cap.
  3. With applying the brakes, remove the lock nut.

Torque to 235 Nm (174 ft. lbs.)

w/ Free wheel hub:

  1. Remove the free wheel hub

  1. Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring.
  2. Remove the spacer.
    1. w/ABS: Remove ABS speed sensor and wire harness clamp from steering knuckle.

Torque to 8.0 Nm (71 inch lbs.)

    1. Remove front brake caliper and disc.
      1. Disconnect lower ball joint. Remove the 4 bolts and disconnect the lower ball joint.
  • Disconnect upper ball joint and remove steering knuckle.
    Note: A plastic hammer can be used to drive the axle shaft out of the hub when removing.

i have the free wheel hub cover off and the 6 nuts off of the free wheel hub body and dont know where to go from there.

You will need to remove the snap ring at the center. Behind the snap ring is a spacer, remove this as well.


Remove the brake caliper bolts, remove caliper and rotor.


Then remove lower ball joint and upper ball joint and remove steering knuckle. The bearing will then need to be pressed from the steering knuckle.
