If a person has an abscessed tooth and has no medical or dental insurance, can the person buy amoxicillin without a prescription to cure the abscessed tooth?

In most cases, when a person has an abscessed tooth, then the tooth can be treated and cured with antibiotics, but there are cases that the tooth will not heal with just antibiotics alone and this is the majority case with abscesses. The person would not be able to get the prescription for amoxicillin over the counter and would need to see a dentist or a doctor to get his, but this is generally not the prescribed antibiotic for an abscessed tooth.

If a person has a disease that their filings is making worse and their dental or health insurance refuses to send them to someone to get this fixed, what should the person do?

The person would generally need to find what is called an insurance advocate which will speak to both insurance companies and try to resolve the issue with the insurance. The person may also be able to talk to one insurance company and when they say that the person needs to talk to the other insurance company, and then get both insurance companies on the phone to sort out if the health insurance or the dental insurance is to cover the costs.

If a person does not have dental insurance, how can the person tell if they have an abscessed tooth or a sinus infection?

If the person has a sinus infection, then this can cause pain and inflammation in the person’s gums as well. When it comes to tooth abscess, then the pain or infected area will be in a local area where the infected tooth is. If the person has regular health insurance, then they can go see their regular doctor and their regular doctor can tell them how they need to proceed.

If a person does not have dental insurance, but they have an abscessed tooth, can they use the antibiotic Levaquin to treat this infection?

The person would need to possibly see a dentist. Most dentists prescribe Metronidazole, Cap Amoxil, and Flirbiprofen when the patient has a tooth abscess. Even though Levaquin is a broad spectrum antibiotic and can be used to treat the abscess, generally this is not what the dentist or doctors choose to use.

When a person has a dental issue, then they generally have dental insurance to help cover the cost of dental procedures and treatments. When a person does not have insurance or is looking for insurance, then they may have questions regarding what kind of insurance they should get, what the insurance covers, how much the insurance covers, or which dentist the insurance may cover. When the person is facing these tough questions, then they may seek the answers from an Expert.
