Nissan Door Handle Questions

How to remove the exterior door handle on the drivers side of a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?

First, remove the front door window regulator, then remove the door side grommet, the door key cylinder and the outside handle escutcheon. Do not forcibly remove the TORX bolts. After this separate the key cylinder rod from the key cylinder assembly and while pulling the outside handle the door key cylinder assembly can be removed. Slide towards the rear of the vehicle to remove the outside handle and remove the front gasket and rear gasket. Proceed to remove the TORX bolts and the door lock assembly.

While pulling on the outside handle bracket, slide it towards the rear of the vehicle to remove it and the door lock assembly. After this disconnect the door lock actuator connector and separate the outside handle cable connection from the outside handle bracket. The installation process is in the reverse order.

How to remove the door finisher on a 2004 Nissan Murano?

To remove the door finisher, remove the cap of the inside handle portion and remove the screws. Then remove the inside handle escutcheon and the screw grip portion and the pull handle cap and the screw. Proceed to remove the power window switch and disconnect the harness connector of the power window switch. Remove the screws of the power window switch side portion. Wrap a screwdriver in a cloth and use it between the panel and clips and remove the finisher.

How to remove and re-install the front drivers side door handle on a 2007 Nissan Versa?

To install the front driver’s side door handle, first remove the front door finisher and fully close the front door window. Then remove the front door sealing screen, if the sealing screen is being reused, then cut butyl tape so that it leaves it on the sealing screen. Proceed to remove the front door rear glass run channel and the cables from the holder. Then remove the inside handle bolt and slide the handle toward the rear of the vehicle. Now disengage the handle from the door panel and remove the inside handle. Disconnect the inside handle cable and lock the knob cable from the inside handle.

Next, remove the door side grommet and the door key cylinder assembly bolt and the key cylinder connecting rod. Disconnect the door antenna, the door request switch connector and remove the harness clamp. Remove the door cylinder assembly while pulling the outside handle forward. Then, pull the outside door handle forward and slide it toward the rear of the vehicle to remove it. Proceed to remove the front and rear gaskets. After this remove the door lock assembly bolts. Slide the outside handle bracket toward the rear of the vehicle and remove the assembly. Finally, separate the outside handle cable from the outside handle bracket. The installation process is in the reverse order.
