In that case, you may need to contact your previous address's post office to see if they have received any mail for you, including your car tag decal.

   If the DMV has already mailed the tag to your old address, you can request that they issue a replacement tag and send it to your new address.

   While carrying your paid tax receipt in vehicle #1 can serve as proof that you have paid your taxes, it is not a substitute for a valid car tag. If your car tag is expired, law enforcement may still issue you a citation for driving with an expired tag, even if you have a receipt showing that you paid your taxes.
