I have specific questions on solo 401(k) contribution. I opened my Solo 401K last year and contributed the max $25,000. I'm clear on this part. Now I have two questions. I'm working on the employer contribution, or profit sharing portion. I understand this is 20% of my net income. My first question, is where does this get reported? 2nd questions is: I believe I can also make a Roth contribution to make my total 2019 contribution $62K. Is this recorded on either tax return? Lastly, I understand that this flows onto Line 28 of my 1040. Does the IRS confirm the Solo 401k amounts somehow? I don't see any tax forms from the 401k provider, so I'm just curious how the IRS verifies it or if it raises an audit flag or anything like that. Hopefully the questions make sense.… read more
