I have a company that is a partnership and they have been
Yes I have a company that is a partnership and they have been filing taxes as a partnership on the form 1065 under there restaurant name . Now that business gas picked up they have switched to an LLC and switched the name of the business paperwork with a new tax ID number and the have a payroll company that they use. So they have been filing as a partnership and the profit and loss as been split between the two owners on the K1. Now they want to switch it to where they don't want to report that on there individual taxes they want to just pay Corp taxes. So they have to still use the form 1065 because they an LLC? Also they have to fill out an form 8832 saying they want to elect to be taxed as a corporation? If so, they would still need to file 2015 taxes with the K1 and wait for the response FROM IRS and just start it for the 2106 year? … read more
