On my w-2 form box 10/ dependent care benefits/ it has 60.00. I do not have dependents. did someone make a mistake in filling out my w-2? how do I fix this?

In brief, if you don't have any dependents, this is likely a mistake. You should contact your employer and ask for a corrected W2. Following is information relating to Box 10 of the W2. SEE BELOW:

Box 10. This amount includes the total dependent care benefits that your employer paid to you or incurred on your behalf (including amounts from a section 125 (cafeteria) plan). Any amount over $5,000 also is included in box 1. Complete Form 2441, Child and Dependent Care Expenses, to compute any taxable and nontaxable amounts.
