If the e-filed return has already been accepted, there is nothing you can do to correct the bank information. The bank should reject the deposit if the name and social security doesn't match. However, this has not always been the case. One of two things could happen, 1) the bank can reject the deposit and send it back to the IRS and in turn the IRS will send you a paper check in about 6 weeks to the address they have on record, or 2) the deposit can be deposited into an account that has that number that belongs to someone else. If that happens, you can be looking at potential problems trying to get the funds back.
