Customer: I won on a 2 dollar ticket today and they said I had to mail it in with a claim form but do not know if they will take the taxes out or if they will just send me the whole amount and at the end of the year if I will have to file taxes.
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Accountant should know?

Hi. My name is ***** ***** I will be happy to help you.

The winning will be added to your other income and tax accordingly. So it really depends on your other/total income. If taxes are withheld and you do not owe any, you will get a refund when you file a tax return for that year.
