Hello. Is anyone there?

Hi I'm happy to help. -Rick

Are you looking to eFile, and so this is what you need the PIN for? Are you filing joint with another person or single?

no i can chat online. I already paid $5 plus $33
I have no idea what a pin is for my taxes and how I get one.

Those offers come from Just Answer, not me. I can answer your question now. You get your PIN from the IRS website, I will provide the information in a moment. Depending on what tax software you use, if you file your own taxes, you may only need to get the PIN once and the software will remember it.

Thank you

Perfect. You should only need to get your PINs once. You will need the following information:

- Full Name
- Social Security Number (or Taxpayer Identification Number)
- Date of Birth
- Filing Status (previous year tax return e.g. Single, Married Filing Jointly)
- Mailing Address

Do I give that info to you or just go the IRS website and complete online?
I've never heard of this step before .

I'm searching for the correct link now, should only take a minute or two.
