You can obtain a Federal ID number at the following link:

On this page you can scroll down to the "Business" heading & the first item is:

Employer Identification
Number (EIN)

If you follow that link, you'll see an option to obtain the ID online.

Now, since I don't know if you are the Trustee, an accountant or what, I'll mention one question for you:

What type of Trust are you dealing with?

I ask because if by chance you are dealing with a Revocable Living Trust you do not want to obtain a Federal ID number as the identification that you should be using is the Grantor's Social Security number.

If you are dealing with an Irrevocable Trust, or a Revocable Living Trust where the Grantor has died, then you should obtain the Federal ID number as I've indicated above.
