My construction loan was going to the loan committee tomorrow.

Customer Question

My construction loan was going to the loan committee tomorrow. However, the loan officer called today and said they found two tax liens from the state of Missouri totaling around $2600. He is pretty sure they won't approve with these on there. They are not appearing on my credit report just in a search through the state tax site. I can pay these but will I be approved?

It really depends upon the loan committee. If you pay and provide proof it will show that you really want to get the loan.

Thank you for your help. The articles are helpful, but applied to business loans and irs liens. I was wondering if Missouri state tax liens can be removed after they are paid. If so, I could hold off on the loan proceedings until next week.

You need to contact the Missouri Dept. of Revenue and your bank to get those questions answered.
