Hello

If you are a US citizen and you meet the requirements for the FBAR or FATCA filing (based on the amount you have in a non US account during the year) then yes, you are required to report your foreign account.

You are required to report your worldwide income on a US return but you are allowed to claim any all exclusions and credits so you are not double taxed.

Please remember to rate my service excellent once you have all the information you need. If you have any other questions, please ask me – I’ll be happy to respond. Thank you!
