I am trying to claim my wife, but she doesn't have a SSN or a ITIN number yet. She's from the Dominican Republic. We got married in 2015. She doesn't work nor has she worked. The Irs told me about the 1040 nr form but that forms isn't form when I am claiming dependents.

Hello, You would want to file out for W-7 (https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw7.pdf) Instructions for form (https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/iw7.pdf) and send the form (W-7) along with your form 1040 by mail to the IRS:
