I have a question regarding 501c status church. The church

Customer Question

I have a question regarding 501c status for a church. The church is automatically tax exempt under 501c without applying and does not get an IRS determination letter because of this. The church also doesn't file a 990 because it is not required. We are trying to apply for a community rewards program through a local business and it is open to non profits including churches but requires a 501c determination letter, 990 - Exempt from Income Tax Form, 945 - Withheld Federal Income Tax from Nonpayroll Payments, 941 - Employer's Quarterly Federal Tax Return, 944 - Employer's Annual Federal Tax Return, or a 8109 - Tax Deposit Coupon. Are any of these things something the church would be required to have? Is there a way to get a determination letter from the IRS if the church never formally applied for 501c status?

Hello, does the Church have employees on payroll?
