Customer Question

Original AMT year 2012 line 28 is 433758. NOL is 241085. SO is the deduction to place at line 11 of form 6251 (433758 x 90%)?

Hi from just answer. I'm PDtax, and can assist.

Line 10 of the 6251 adds back the regular tax NOL. The AMTI is adjusted to 90% as a maximum to apply the AMTNOL to.

If there are no changes to the NOL for AMT, line 10 and line 11 of the 6251 are exactly the same number.

Lines 10 and 11 would be 241085.
